About Us

New London Municipal Employees Credit Union was founded in 1953 by a group of employees of the City of New London to provide savings and low cost lending options to their fellow employees.  In a span of over 6 decades, NLMECU has had only 3 CEOs; Robert Stanners, Barbara Paul and Melissa Robinson.  Over the years the Credit Union has had many volunteers that have served on the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Nominating Committee, and Credit Committee. We are grateful for all of their volunteer hours and contributions to our success.

The Credit Union office is located on the lower level of the Stanton Building.  Our normal hours of operation are:

Monday: 9am-3pm
Tuesday: 9am-3pm
Wednesday: 9am-3pm
Thursday: 9am-3pm
Friday: 9am-3pm
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
